Here are few questions and answers that have already been asked.


1,  How does my child get to the program, if I am unable to pick them up from school?
Because our location is so ideally situated between a number of schools in the community, it is an easy walk from any of these schools.  However, prior arrangements can be made to have the children accompanied from their school, allowing them to walk in safety and you to rest assured that they got to their destination.  On "bad weather" days, vehicle  transportation will be arranged if needed.  (Bad weather conditions are determined by the staff prior to dismissal time).  For schools not within walking distance, transportation may be arranged through the program, and can be discussed at the time of registration.

2.  What about "early dismissal" days?
At the time of registration, your child's school and early dismissal patterns will be noted.  The programs start time will be adjusted according to need, so that children will still be able to come directly from school to the program.

3.  What if my child doesn't like the kind of snacks that are offered?
Snack schedules are posted ahead of time, and if you, as a parent, feel that your child will need an alternate snack please send one with your child.  Alternate snacks may also be dropped off for the following day when the children are picked up.  No adjustment to the fee schedule will be given.  

4.  What if my child suffers from allergies?
At the time of registration, allergies and other medical conditions will be noted.  We will do our best to provide a healthy snack choice for all children.

5.  What if I can't pick up my child by 6:00 p.m.
We encourage all parents to be prompt at picking up their children, however, we do understand that there are times when work schedules or traffic makes that impossible.  As a courtesy to the staff, we ask that if you are going to be late, you call to inform us of your expected time.  All parent pick-ups that occur after 6:00 will incurr extra fees/every 5 minutes past 6:00.

6.  This program sounds really good, but I don't think I can afford it.  Are there any subsidies available.
Because we are not running a full day care center (yet!) we are not able to qualifiy for government subsidies.  However, there are a small number of opportunities for parental volunteers which would reduce the fees for your child.  Inquire of the administrator if you are interested in this payment option.  If there is a need, we are also committed to trying to find funding for any child that would like to attend.  Please fill out the "contact us" form for more information regarding this issue.

7.  Where are you located?
You will find us at the corner of Ave. I, and 32nd St.  A google map is shown on the  "who are we?" page of this website. 

8.  Do you have a drop-in program?
We offer a drop-in option, but only once our registrations are complete for the upcoming session.  At that time, we are better able to gauge the number of care-givers needed, and what days are able to accomodate drop-in children.  48 hours notice must be given to allow us adequate time to prepare for any extra children
